The three-day China (Shandong) Brand Products Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition closed on June 15 in Budapest, Hungary. Eighty-one Shandong companies participated, setting up 110 standard booths and showcasing industries such as machinery equipment, electronic information, and hardware tools.
Among all the Shandong companies, over 25 percent of the exhibitors were from new energy and high-tech sectors, attracting 7,000 visitors primarily from Hungary, Austria, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and other countries. Over the three days of the exhibition, the intended export turnover for Shandong companies reached a total of $52 million.
It's the 12th edition of the exhibition, which serves as a crucial platform for Shandong's foreign trade companies to promote economic and trade exchanges with Central and Eastern European countries. From January to May this year, Shandong's imports and exports with the EU exceeded 120 billion yuan ($16.52 billion), marking a year-on-year growth of 2.1 percent.
