Introduction to the Qingdao Multinationals Summit

1.Purpose

Under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Qingdao Multinationals Summit (QMS) thoroughly follows the principle of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Shandong’s development – “striving to be at the forefront of building a well-off society in an all-round way and accelerating the construction of socialist modernization, and building a modern and strong Shandong in the new era”. Actively integrating into and serving China’s overall opening up, the QMS aims to be a permanent international forum that has its own mechanisms and brands; and a high-end platform that declares China’s firm determination to open to the outside world, focuses on cooperation between multinationals and China, discusses multinational issues, spreads the voice of multinationals, shares the experience of multinationals, and links resources for multinationals. The QMS makes positive contribution to a new round of China’s high-level opening up to the outside world; to Shandong’s major development strategies in the change of new and old growth drivers, rural revitalization, and a strong marine province; and to international cooperation projects in high-quality investment, talent recruitment and “top ten industries”.
