Leaders of Shandong Province and important guests will make a group visit to exhibition
themed "Multinationals and China".The exhibition will focus on the cooperation between multinationals and China’s industrial sector in the new era, and emphasize green, low-carbon and high-quality development. It will combine exhibits and multimedia technology to show development achievements of multinationals in China, and the solid industrial foundation and sound business environment of Shandong Province.

This promotion is organized to thoroughly implement the Chinese government’s decision on “intensifying efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment” and the major national strategy of Ecological Development of the Yellow River, in response to the Ministry of Commerce’s “Invest in China Year” series of investment promotion activities. Relevant leader of Shandong Province will be invited to attend and heads of the Provincial Energy Bureau will introduce the development of new energy industry in Shandong. Zaozhuang, Tai'an, Binzhou and Heze will introduce their advantages of industrial clusters and business environment. Multinationals will introduce their cooperation with Shandong and make suggestions for future cooperation.

This promotion will focus on high-end equipment manufacturing industry and introduce potential cooperative projects to multinationals in relevant fields. Relevant leader of Shandong Province will be invited to attend and heads of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will introduce the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Shandong. Jining, Rizhao, Linyi and Liaocheng will introduce their advantages of industrial clusters and business environment. Organized under the guidance of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, it will invite the leaders of relevant departments of the National Intellectual Property Administration to interpret policies such as intellectual property protection, answer relevant questions of multinationals, and solicit their opinions and suggestions. The governor of Shandong Provincial People's Government will have dialogue with the advisors to solicit opinions and suggestions on Shandong Province's commitment to accelerating green, low-carbon and high-quality development, promoting high-level opening up, and deepening cooperation with multinationals. This promotion will focus on new material industry and introduce potential cooperative projects to multinationals in related fields. Relevant leader will be invited to attend and heads of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will introduce the development of new material industry in Shandong. Yantai, Zibo and Dongying will introduce their advantages of industrial clusters and business environment. Multinationals will introduce their cooperation with Shandong and make suggestions for future cooperation.

A special promotional event will be held by Qingdao.

Relevant leader of Shandong Province will be invited to attend. The event will include two parts. The first part will focus on pharmaceutical issues and invite healthcare multinational companies to promote their new products, technologies and projects. In the second part, a special promotion will be held for Japan-funded multinationals themed "Development Strategy and Industrial Cooperation of Japan-funded Multinationals in China".

On 6 July 2023, more than 110 WTO Members concluded the text negotiations on the Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement, and are currently working towards the formal adoption and entry into force of the Agreement in the WTO.Officials from the Department of WTO Affairs and professionals from the Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce will interpret the main elements of the Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement ,discuss how China can better implement the Agreement and solicit the opinions and suggestions of multinationals.

Relevant departments and bureaus of the National Healthcare Security Administration and the National Medical Products Administration will introduce the centralized procurement policy for essential medicines consumables, medicare drug price negotiation and catalog adjustment, drug registration procedures and related policies, and solicit the opinions and suggestions of multinationals.
