Approved by the State Council, the fourth Qingdao Multinationals Summit (the QMS) was successfully held in Qingdao from October 10 to 12, 2023. The summit adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implemented the spirit of President Xi Jinping's congratulatory letter to the first summit, and continued with the theme "Multinationals and China." It organized 14 categories and 30 events. Hao  Mingjin, Vice  Chairman  of the  Standing  Committee  of  the National People's Congress, attended and addressed the opening ceremony, with over 800 guests from 36 countries and regions participating.

In the current complex and ever-changing international economic and trade environment, the summit conveyed a strong signal of China's firm commitment to expanding openness and promoting the construction of an open world economy.
