For 2025, Shandong province will be focusing on four key areas to support foreign trade enterprises in expanding into international markets and enhancing the stability, quantity, and quality of imports and exports.

Widening reach of Shandong enterprises

The province will participate more in overseas exhibitions, guiding companies to explore emerging markets in South America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and ASEAN countries. It will organize international precision procurement matchmaking events to help businesses connect with global buyers accurately and implement high-quality cultivation for cross-border e-commerce industrial belts.

Expanding import volumes
Shandong will prioritize key import projects, ensuring secure raw material imports for major enterprises like Yulong Petrochemical and Yantai Wanhua Chemical Group. It will expand imports of advanced technology equipment and critical components. The province will also host financing matchmaking activities in collaboration with relevant departments and financial institutions to lower financing costs for import companies.

Nurturing new foreign trade entities
Efforts will be made to cultivate leading international trade supply chain enterprises, enabling them to make use of their logistical, industrial, scale, and credit advantages. The province will provide integrated services such as procurement, logistics, warehousing, distribution, financing, settlement, and customs clearance. Additionally, it will support the registration of international trademarks and product certifications for independent brand export enterprises.

Enhancing service support
Regular specialized services will be conducted to address companies' operational challenges. Monitoring of key export enterprises will be intensified to assist them in maintaining traditional markets while actively exploring emerging ones. Continuous optimization of port environments will be implemented to elevate the level of cross-border trade facilitation.
